IZVG Pathology was set up in 2003 in response to the need for a dedicated zoo and wildlife pathology service. We provide a specialised anatomic pathology service (post mortem examinations and histopathology) for zoo, wildlife, exotic and aquatic animals including fish.
Our pathologists work closely with IZVG's experienced clinical team, supported by our research and consultancy operation, focusing on diagnosing disease in exotic species.
We provide comprehensive anatomic pathology services for exotic species including:
Our focus is anatomic pathology, with suitable supporting diagnostics to enable comprehensive diagnosis. We have good working relationships with other specialist laboratories, and will refer haematology, biochemistry and other samples we cannot handle ourselves to these ensuring good clinicopathological correlation across all species groups.
Please note:
IZVG’s pathologists work on behalf of veterinary surgeons/practices, diagnosing disease in animals that remain under the care of the referring veterinary surgeon, who retains responsibility for clinical management and treatment of cases.
Our pathologists cannot provide clinical advice directly to other vets’ clients or members of the public based on diagnostic reports.
If a veterinary practice or private client would like a direct consultation with IZVG’s team of experienced clinicians, please contact our office on 01535 692000 or email: admin@izvg.co.uk to discuss this.
